Sound System recomendations

1 post in this topic

Looking to replace every speaker in the car (2x tweeters, 2x front doors, 2 rears, and add a sub) due to both the tweeter's being blown ('crackly' at high volumes (Don't know correct term)) and fairly sure on in the rear has gone too.

Looking to get an underseat subwoofer as well, need the boot space so don't really want a boot based sub. Looking more for quality over volume, but still wouldn't mind the option to blast it with a bit of bass every now and then  😂.

Was looking at pioneer, as I am familiar with the name but, if there is something better I am open to options.

Also will I need an amp?

Price wise I am looking maybe £150 on the sub and then maybe £200 for everything else (not sure if this is enough but for the research I have done seems reasonable, if I need to put a bit more into to it then it shouldn't be an issue as long as it isn't a stupid amount more.

      Hey There,

I'm kinda new to making changes in my car but lately I'm having some problems with most of my speakers.

I have both dash speakers and the 2 on the rear, the 2 speakers on the front doors are long gone, weren't in the car when I bought it in 2nd hand.

I have a "new" radio in my car, a SilverCrest KH 2380 and it's been working for 3 years perfectly.

Lately, my dash speakers don't work, when I opened the cover of them if I just tapped them a little bit they would start playing again, but they stop working again after some seconds.

1 of the rear is completely gone and the other one keeps working, no need for the tapping

What I mean to ask are 3 things:

-How do I remove the dash speakers? (I manage to take out the rear ones, very accessible)

-If I want to buy new speakers (with a good cost/quality relation) where could I get them from online as ebay, amazon or any reliable online seller? (as I live in Portugal and it's not that easy to find a large variety of this things).

-With the question above, what should I take in consideration as of size and adaptors for both dash and rear speakers?

      Thank you very much,
